Marrakech’s palmery, or oasis, has over 100.000 palm trees that date back to the Almoravid dynasty (eleventh and twelfth centuries). The palmery lies in the northeast fringe of the city and does have a certain tranquility. The most popular thing to do in this area is to go for a camel ride. So, get picked up by our driver from your hotel or the meeting point (in case you are staying in the medina) and head to the stunning palm grove of Marrakech. Get on a camel’s back and begin a scenic ride through the palmery and cross arid areas, dry rivers and local villages. If you desire, you might dress up in the traditional costume of the Touareg people. Have a tea break and snap some fabulous photos.
If you have only a short escape to Marrakech, the palm grove’s camel ride is the best excursion for the whole family.
