Itinerary

1st day: Fes – Azrou – Midelt – Merzouga.

You will be picked up from your accommodation or the Blue Gate (Bab Boujloud) if you choose the shared tour option, and begin your journey toward the breathtaking Erg Chebbi dunes in the Sahara Desert.

Your adventure starts with a scenic drive through Ifrane, often called the "Switzerland of Morocco" due to its alpine-style architecture and reputation as a popular winter sports destination.

Along the way, pass through the picturesque Middle Atlas Mountains and make a stop in the cedar forests of Azrou, where you may have the chance to see playful Barbary macaques.

After a lunch break in Midelt, continue through the stunning landscapes of the Ziz Valley, known for its dramatic gorges and lush palm groves. Pass through Erfoud, a town famous for its fossil industry, before reaching Merzouga in the late afternoon.

As the sun sets, you will enjoy an unforgettable camel trek across the golden dunes, leading you to your desert camp. Spend the night in a traditional Berber tent, enjoying local music under a star-filled sky and experiencing the magic of the Sahara.

2nd day: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades valley.

Wake up early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the dunes, followed by a refreshing shower and breakfast. Then, ride camels back to the meeting point with your driver and set off on your journey.

Bid farewell to the tranquility of the Sahara as you travel towards Rissani and Tafilalet, the historic heart of the Alaouite dynasty. Continue your adventure to the awe-inspiring Todra Gorges, where towering cliffs and dramatic landscapes create one of Morocco’s most remarkable sights.

After lunch, journey through the picturesque Dades Valley, where you’ll spend the night in a charming hotel or riad, surrounded by the stunning beauty of the rugged canyons.

3rd day: Dades Valley - Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech.

After breakfast, journey through the picturesque Valley of Roses and along the famed Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, making your way to Ouarzazate. Here, you’ll pause to capture photos of the iconic Taourirt Kasbah and the renowned film studios before continuing to the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou.

This enchanting Berber architectural masterpiece, dating back approximately 800 years, offers a glimpse into Morocco’s rich history. As you ascend to the top of the village hill, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the ancient caravan routes once used for trade, as well as the distant peaks of the High Atlas Mountains. Explore the village ruins, which still echo the traditions and culture of its former inhabitants.

Ait Ben Haddou has also served as a filming location for numerous Moroccan and international productions.

Afterward, continue your journey to Marrakech, passing through the stunning landscapes of the High Atlas Mountains and traditional Berber villages. Arrive in the evening and transfer to your hotel.
