Itinerary

Day 1: Casablanca.

Arrive at Casablanca airport where you will be warmly welcomed by your driver who will accompany you to your accommodation.

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat.

After having breakfast at the hotel, you will start your tour around Morocco. You will first visit one of the most beautiful places in Casablanca, the Hassan II Mosque, which is the largest of its kind in Africa. Afterwards, you will drive to Morocco’s capital city, Rabat. The latter is an imperial city where you will visit the Royal Palace(Mechouar), Hassan Tower Mosque, the tombs of the late kings Mohamed V and Hassan II, the picturesque Chellah Necropolis, and the Kasbah of Oudayas.

 Overnight stay will be in a hotel in the same city.

Day 3: Rabat - Asilah – Tangier.

You will drive to the exquisite town of Asilah to visit the town and view its splendid highlights. Assilah is the first town south of Tangier and is exceptionally clean. You will go first exploring its beautifully decorated Medina. You will navigate through its alleys, admire a series of murals painted in its walls, and have a spectacular view of its ramparts and the vast ocean stretching to the horizon. Also, you may like going for a walk or a swim in the town’s outstanding beach.

In the afternoon, you will continue your drive along the coast to Tangier to discover what this northern city hides within. Tangier is where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea. It is a beautiful city where you will visit the famous Hercules cave, Cape spartel, a magnificent minaret overlooking the sea and the city itself.

Overnight stay will be in a Hotel in Tangier.

Day 4: Tangier – Tetouan – Chefchaouen.

After a filling Breakfast at your hotel, you will visit all the beautiful places of Tangier. Later on, you drive to Tetouan or so-called ‘white Dove’ of Morocco. The town is founded in the 15th century by Muslim and Jewish refugees fleeing Christian Andalusia. Once getting there, you will have free time to walk in the alleys of its Medina. Afterward, you will set off for Chefchaouen which is an outstanding town with white-blue houses in a strategic location at the foothills of the Rif Mountains. Upon your arrival, you will go around exploring the town. Undoubtedly, there is a lot to see therein. You will browse the decorated and colorful streets and alleyways of the town. The little Medina with its Souks (Markets) will also be of interest. Up the hills, you will enjoy spectacular panoramic vistas of Chefchaouen town.

Overnight stay will be in a Riad.

Day 5: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes.

On the way to Fes, you will stop to visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis. It is the most impressive of the Roman sites in Morocco and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From there, you will continue to Meknes to get the most out of its monuments and the atmosphere of its Medina which is surrounded by ramparts. Some of the places that are worth a visit are: Moulay Ismail mausoleum (the city founder), El Hedim square (the focal point of the Medina) and the great green Bad Mansour (the centerpiece of the city’s gateways).

You will arrive at your accommodation in Fes by late afternoon.

Day 6: Guided Tour Of Fes.

You will go for a tour around Fes. The first place to start with is the old Medina ‘Fes El Bali’ to discover its narrow streets and see magic wherever you look. The magic is derived from its many historical monuments, including Al-Attarine Madrasa, Ennajarine Fountain, Al-Qarawiyyine university (the oldest university in the world, founded in 859), Bou Inania Madrasa and the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss (the city founder).

Your exploratory tour of the old Medina comes to an end after lunch in a local restaurant. Before you return to your accommodation, you will visit ‘Fes Al-jdid’, the modern part of the city. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a panoramic view of the whole Medina of Fes.

Day 7: Fes – Ifrane – Middle Atlas – Midelt.

Setting out from Fes, you will cross the Middle Atlas Mountains towards Ifrane. You will stop to visit this spectacular town ‘little Switzerland’ as some like to nickname it for its beauty, pseudo-alpine weather and villas. You will also drive through the Cedar forest of Azrou and stop to see the Barbary macaques which dwell it. Along the way, you will enjoy the spectacle of Berber villages of The Middle Atlas Mountains.

You will arrive at your hotel in Midelt where you will stay the night in the afternoon.

Day 8: Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga.

You willdepart from Midelt and cross the great date-palm valley of Ziz to admire one of the most wonderful natural views of southern Morocco. By the time you reach Erfoud which is considered Morocco’s town of fossils, you will stop over in some place for fossils. You will arrive in Merzouga early afternoon where your desert adventure commences. The first night will be in a hotel or Riad next to the dunes of Erg Chebbi.

Day 9: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Merzouga.

The desert of Merzouga is a full of splendors. You will enjoy a sightseeing drive on a 4WD vehicle around Erg Chebbi, Morocco’s great sea of sand dunes. The first spot to visit is the dunes neighboring village of Khamlia, the hometown of a dark-skinned ethnic group who will welcome you with a cup of tea while enjoying their traditional music which is called Gnaoua music. Later on, you will visit a French abandoned mining site which originated during the French period, and then the drive proceeds alongside the immense sand dunes towards one of the local nomads’ residences so as to find out about their lifestyle. After lunch in a local restaurant, you will go for a visit to the desert Lake where you will see several species of birds.

You will go back to the hotel in the afternoon in order to go trekking on camels over the sand dunes. Watch the spectacular view of sunset before you arrive to a camp in the heart of the desert. At night, you will enjoy the sight of campfire and the sound of Berber music played by some local guys. In the clear desert sky, you will be well-placed to admire and shoot the stars, shooting stars and the milky-way.

Day 10: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Ouarzazate.

 In the morning, wake as earlier as you can so as not to miss the stunning view of sunrise. When you finish breakfast in the camp, you will ride back the camels to the village and drive away of the desert quietness. On your way to Todra Gorges, you are going to stop in the market place of Rissani which is located in the oasis of Tafilalet. Upon your arrival to Todra Gorge, you will have free time to walk within its 300-meter canyon walls. Todra gorge is a nice place with water springing from a rocky mountain and run down a green valley. On the road, you will also pass by the beautiful Dades and Rose valleys. The latter is known throughout Morocco as the capital of roses for its wide cultivation of roses besides apples, fig, corn …etc.

Arrive in Ouarzazate by late afternoon.

Day 11: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou - Taroudant.

Ouarzazate is known as the Hollywood of Africa. In the morning, you will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt ( Ouarzazate most spectacular historical legacy), the cinema museum and the film studios before heading to Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. Ait Ben Haddou is Morocco’s iconic Kasbah and is a distinctive location for moviemakers. Several foreign and local movies have been shot in the Kasbah, including Game of Thrones, Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, Babel and The Mummy. The village offers beautiful views and a deep-rooted history to immerse into.

Going past Taznakht and Taliouine, you will drive to Taroudant. On your way, you can seize the opportunity to visit Saffron fields where you will meet local farmers working in their fields. However, you will arrive in Taroudant by the afternoon. You can walk around the Medina which is surrounded by ramparts and wander along its alleys.

Overnight stay will be in a Riad or Hotel in the Medina.

Day 12: Taroudant – Agadir – Essaouira.

You will drive to one of Morocco’s most visited cities, Agadir. You will have lunch there and take a quiet coastal road leading to Essaouia. You will delight in seeing the beautiful scenery of the ocean and Argan trees being climbed by goats all along the way.

You will arrive in Essaouira and check in to your hotel in the afternoon.

Day 13: Essaouira – Marrakech.

Essaouira, a laid-back Atlantic town, is quite interesting and pleasant to visit. In the morning, you begin the city tour by exploring the old Medina. You will stroll down its beautifully decorated alleys and traditional markets, and discover also the wood workshops, jewelry stores, art galleries, etc. later, visit the harbor and do not miss a walk along the beach.

For lunch, a good range of cafes and restaurants are available which allows you to choose from a long menu including fresh seafood.

In the afternoon, you will head eastwards to the red city of Marrakesh and stay the night in a hotel or Riad.

Day 14: Guided Tour Of Marrakech.

In the morning, get ready to discover Marrakesh, Morocco’s touristic capital.The exploratory tour of the Medina (the oldest quarter in Marrakech city) starts off from the famous square of Djemaa el Fna.

Throughout your slow and relaxed walk between the crucially important sights of the Medina, your tour guide will explain in detail the history of each monument in particular and the history of the city in general. The most visited ancient monuments are Koutoubia Mosque, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace and the aforementioned square. You will continue your tour through the narrow paths of the Medina until you get to the Souks (Markets) and discover all various hand-crafted products therein. The attractive square of Djemaa El Fna is well-known for vitality at night when people crowd around comedians, storytellers, snake enchanters…etc. Once the walking tour is over, your driver will take you to both Menara and Majorelle gardens.

Day 15: Marrakech – Casablanca Airport.

Transfer to the airport of Casablanca and the end of your trip in beautiful Morocco.
